Our hiring process consists of 3 steps:
Interviews: 3 interviews with 3-4 team members at Firi.
Take-home assignment: Write a blogpost on the most challenging professional project you have worked on in your career so far.
Warmup: The final step is a 1-2 week part-time work sprint (stipend: usually INR 10K/week) to align on working styles and culture. Before you start this sprint AKA the warmup, your full-time offer will be discussed with all the details. You don’t have to leave your current job for this.
1. We raise your previous cash compensation by 20%, and further raise the overall CTC significantly using equity.
2. Any hikes to the cash component of our salaries and performance bonuses are tied to the company’s financial performance and external fundraising events. This applies to the entire team, including the founders.
3. We grant equity upfront for all founding team roles, with a 4-year vesting schedule.
4. Medical insurance plan: a ₹5 lakh cover for yourself and your family (including parents) via Plum, with ICICI Lombard as the insurer. It offers excellent hospital coverage, includes daycare surgeries, and makes cashless claims super easy.
5. As per statutory norms, EPF accounts for all will be opened when we cross a team strength of 20.

7. We work out of an office in Gurgaon full-time. For any relocation from outside of Delhi NCR at the time of joining, we compensate with ₹1.5L, no questions asked.
Well, 3 reasons:
97% people read/watch reviews on social media before they buy beauty & personal care products. Yet 7/10 people buy with low confidence, and keep wondering if their products are "working".We exist to solve this. As Firi, we collect reviews on the internet from sources users already trust (Reddit, select Youtube channels etc). This means that we understand each product - who it works for and what it does - through thousands of reviews and full ingredient lists, instead of relying on one creator's opinion or marketing claims made by brands.We use this intelligence to only stock the most repurchased beauty products in the world. And it works! Customers who have bought from us find their holy grails 90% of the times (as per sales & user feedback so far).
The online share of beauty & personal care has grown 4x in the last 5 years at the back of social media reviews, and expected to double (to 40%) over the next 5. To top that, as a discretionary category with high AOV, high repeat and healthy gross margins, BPC is one of the rare categories that allow us to build a premium customer experience while building a healthy business.
Most commerce companies think of AI as a chatbot interface. That’s the most obvious thought, but not necessarily the most accurate. We’re reimagining the user experience to be AI-native, where everything - from the home feed to the user CRM - is contextualised using AI for every user. Like the systems that power feeds such as X or Instagram, intelligence is embedded directly into what a user sees and does on Firi, not just something they chat with.PS. What you'll do
Develop new features for Firi's mobile app (React Native/Expo) and web app (Next.js), keeping performance and accessibility top-notch
Partner with Design, Product, others to quickly prototype, launch, and refine features
Enhance rendering, streaming, and interaction speed across platforms
Build core growth infrastructure (notifications, attribution, analytics) and run experiments to improve user journeys
Qualifications
6-8 years in a full-stack or frontend engineering role at a product company
Proficient in React Native (Expo), Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
Familiar with Azure and CI/CD pipelines
Skilled in PostgreSQL, Redis, API design
Backend experience with Node.js, Python/FastAPI
What you'll do
Design and implement ingestion pipelines to process data from the web, files, APIs, and other diverse sources

Place disproportionate focus on international Brand owners and managers as well as key distributors for US & UK-based International Brands
Extend brand success beyond Firi for International Brands by collaborating with the right distributors and retail platforms
Create strong external positioning for Firi through press, new media, Brand partnerships and policy initiatives
Develop and share SKU-level and Brand insights with Brand owners for Brand's long-term success. Analyse and present Firi audience data to enable Brands to shift considerable investments to Firi.
Qualifications
8-10 years of experience working at a luxury fashion or beauty house of Brands in general management or strategic sales roles
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to excel in 0-1 stages of business
Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term vision
Proven experience in structuring complex partnerships and drafting commercial term sheets. You have outstanding communication skills, ability to build trust and can navigate intense negotiations effectively
What you'll do
Identify brands which deserve to be on the platform based on quality, demand signals, and long-term customer outcomes
Own the brand lifecycle end-to-end and build strong relationships with Brand founders and Brand teams
Own fill rates, margins, and inventory health. Build forecasting systems that accounts for constraints such as demand generation, competition, season, supply availability and SKU-level sales to maintain low inventory wastage while keeping fill rates high
Set up and continuously improve the workflows across onboarding, cataloging, logistics, and payments for Brand partners
Drive revenue at Brand level and ensure financial discipline with brand partners with respect to payment, invoicing, and reconciliations
Own Brand NPS and long-term trust. Actively measure satisfaction and optimise for Brands' success on Firi
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience managing and scaling BPC brands portfolio at an ecommerce company
Deep industry expertise in Beauty & Personal Care Retail, with advanced understanding of the Imports ecosystem
Rich experience building trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, Heads of Category or Brand, and distribution partners
Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into compelling, data-driven proposals
Experience building, optimizing, and scaling end-to-end processes in a supply chain

Own top-line revenue goals within the established investment budget
Build and manage the promotions and incentives calendar, balancing acquisition investment against payback periods and contribution margin
